History of Haryana

  • The history of Haryana also traces the Indus vale civilization. In the townlets of Rakhigarhi in Hisar quarter and Bhirrana in Fatehabad quarter, the largest and one of the oldest spots of Indus valley civilization.
  • According to the archaeologists, Rakhigarhi maybe is the origin of the Harappan civilization which arose in the Ghaggar receptacle in Haryana and gradationally and sluggishly moved to be Indus vale.

  • In the 7th century Pushyabhuti dynasty ruled corridor of Northern India with Thanesar as the capital.

  • The state was part of the British Punjab fiefdom. The Delhi division of Punjab fiefdom formed the bulk of Haryana.
  • Punjab fiefdom was one of two British Indian businesses during the Partition of India.
  • Along with other Hindu and Sikh- dominated areas of Punjab fiefdom came part of India as East Punjab state.
  • It came a state on 1st November 1966, the Punjab Reorganization Act 1966.
