Background
The field units of the Indian Railroads were asked to give problem areas in May 2022. In response to the same, around 160 problem statements were entered, out of which 11 have been linked to be presented to the launch ups via new Railway Innovation Policy
These include problem statements on broken rail discovery system, rail stress monitoring system, robotization of track examination conditioning, design of superior Elastomeric Pad (EM Pad) for Heavy Haul freight Carts, light- weight cart for transporting goods like swab and development of logical tool using digital data for perfecting passenger services and track drawing machine.
